National Day of Protest at Planned Parenthood

A coalition of 53 groups, including American Life League, is calling for a National Day of Protest on August 22, 2015, at Planned Parenthood facilities all across America. Our goal is to raise awareness of the heartless and even illegal activities of Planned Parenthood by going to where the killing and harvesting of body parts from aborted children takes place.

Creating a presence at neighborhood Planned Parenthood facilities is essential to inform the public about what is going on behind closed doors. Local sidewalk counselors and activists are a key component to shutting down Planned Parenthood in the long term.

The National Day of Protest will strengthen local efforts by raising their profile with the local press, the community, and other pro-life activists. Together, the protests held on August 22 will put pressure on the media—both local and national—to report the truth about Planned Parenthood, and on government officials to stop funding this depraved organization.

We encourage all the readers of Pro-Life This Week to participate in this event.

What: Protest PP’s harvesting and selling of aborted baby parts

Where: Planned Parenthood facilities across America

When: August 22, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

As we were going to press with this edition of the PLTW, there were already 158 protests in 40 states scheduled for August 22. Join or start one in your area.

To find out more information, locate a protest near you, or start your own protest, go to ProtestPP.com.

See you on the streets on August 22.

Students for Life of America holding rallies this Tuesday

In response to the disturbing undercover videos released from the Center for Medical Progress on July 14 and July 21 that showed Planned Parenthood officials discussing the procurement and sale of body parts from aborted babies, dozens of rallies will be held on Tuesday, July 28, in at least 41 cities across America calling for the investigation and defunding of Planned Parenthood.

The rallies are called #WomenBetrayed because Planned Parenthood has betrayed the very patients—women and their children—whom they claim to care about and have compassion for. See more at womenbetrayed.com.

“Women are supposed to help and support other women – not use them for profit and sell the body parts of their prenatal children,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, the group coordinating these rallies. “Planned Parenthood gets a half a billion a year in taxpayer dollars. We are calling on every state and [the] federal government to cut off those funds immediately and investigate Planned Parenthood for possible wrongdoing."

American Life League encourages all of our readers to take to the streets and join a rally near you on Tuesday. As the list below shows, these rallies are taking place all over the continental United States and in Alaska and Hawaii. Find one near you and demonstrate your displeasure with Planned Parenthood.

Check the Women Betrayed website for the latest information and details of each rally. Currently, rallies are scheduled in: ALBUQUERQUE, NM; ANCHORAGE, AK; AUSTIN, TX; BALTIMORE, MD; BATON ROUGE, LA; BIRMINGHAM, AL; BLOOMINGTON, IN; BOSTON, MA; BUFFALO, NY; CHARLESTON, SC; CHICAGO, IL; CINCINNATI, OH; COLUMBIA, MO; COLUMBUS, OH; CONCORD, NH; DALLAS/FT. WORTH, TX; DES MOINES, IA; ERIE, PA; FAYETTEVILLE, AR; FORT WAYNE, IN; FT. MYERS, FL; GETTYSBURG, PA; HONOLULU, HI; HOUSTON, TX; INDIANAPOLIS, IN; JACKSONVILLE, FL; LANSING, MI; LAS CRUCES, NM; LAS VEGAS, NV; LEXINGTON, KY; LOS ANGELES, CA; MEMPHIS, TN; NASHVILLE, TN; ORANGE, CA; PHILADELPHIA, PA; PITTSBURGH, PA; PORTLAND, OR; RIVERSIDE, CA; ROCHESTER, MN; ROCHESTER, NY; SACRAMENTO, CA; SALT LAKE CITY, UT; SAN ANTONIO, TX; SANTA FE, NM; SEATTLE, WA; SIOUX CITY, IA; SOUTH BEND, IN; ST. We're asking you to put an end to PPFA's baby body parts business

Make no mistake, Planned Parenthood is hurting. Release of the undercover video (see the Week in Review section) has torn the veil off of Planned Parenthood’s carefully constructed lie of compassionate care.

The video and subsequent denials, and then apology, by Planned Parenthood have shown the degree to which this is shaking the foundations of the public perception of the organization.

BUT, if this is all that happens, the entire episode will pass away and be forgotten.

We cannot let that happen. American Life League is working with the Center for Medical Progress to obtain 500,000 signatures on a petition to ask Congress to investigate Planned Parenthood and to finally cut off the half-billion dollars a year that it receives from American taxpayers.

We ask you now to go immediately to ppbabyparts.instapage.com and sign the petition. All signers on this page will be combined with others to form a huge demand to our representatives in the House and Senate, as well as elected officials at all levels all over the country.

Again, we need you to go to ppbabyparts.instapage.com and sign the petition. Do not let Planned Parenthood continue its grisly trade in baby body parts. YOU CAN HELP STOP THIS ATROCITY. SIGN THE PETITION NOW!

Go to ppbabyparts.instapage.com to sign.

Time to remember all those babies who have lost their lives

On Saturday, September 12, 2015, the third annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children will call on pro-life Americans to honor the gravesites of our aborted brothers and sisters. Solemn prayer vigils will be conducted at these gravesites—of which there are 47 across the United States—as well as at dozens of other sites dedicated to the memory of aborted children.

You can be a very special part of the Day of Remembrance by hosting a memorial service at a gravesite in your community. Volunteer leaders are needed at sites across the country. View the list of gravesites to determine where leaders are needed.

No burial place in your area? If there is no actual burial place of preborn children nearby, you can host a prayer service at a local memorial site dedicated to the preborn victims of abortion. There are hundreds of such sites all over the country.

If you choose to host a Day of Remembrance memorial service, the national organizing team will provide you with numerous resources, such as sample bulletin announcements, press release templates, and a proposed program for your service. In addition, representatives from the National Day of Remembrance national team will provide help along the way, including sample bulletin announcements, e-mails, and flyers; leadership conference calls; and any one-on-one assistance you may need.

In order to sign up as a local leader for the National Day of Remembrance, first review the lists of gravesites and other memorial sites to find an appropriate site near you. Then click on the link to serve as a leader at that site and fill out the application form. Once you've submitted your application, a member from the national team will contact you to confirm your participation and will provide all the resources you'll need.
